We are so grateful to you, our dear customers, for your ongoing support as this enables us in turn to keep our artisan partners busy handcrafting our orders. It's been difficult working at such a distance from our artisans as we normally collaborate in a very hands on fashion but it really means the world to us that we have somehow been able to navigate our way through the crisis together.

Instead of offering a discount on our handcrafted collections this year, we're inviting you to shop slow, shop small and help support the traditional artisan community in Marrakech, Morocco.

Marrakech Artisan Fund

Morocco's borders closed Mid-March and although they have recently re-opened there are very few flights arriving into the country, particularly since most of Europe has gone back into lockdown. Worryingly this results in completely cutting off the flow of tourists who are vital in supporting the traditional artisan community in Marrakech. Many artisans are in immediate need of financial and food assistance.

As well as continuing to send regular payments to our own artisans we will be donating 10% of our profits made during the Black Friday weekend from the 27th - 29th November to a fundraiser for Covid-19 Relief for Marrakech Artisans.

Black Friday Giving Back

The Moroccan Artisan fund has been set up by Heart-isan, a group of 4 Moroccan and American women who live and work in Marrakech: Nora Fitzgerald (founder of Non-Profit Amal Women's Training Center), Melanie Royals (Maison 28), Amanda Mouttaki (MarocMama), and Hadia Temli (Galerie SINIYA28).
